Strolling down the canyon. It was midnight and auroras were bursting, but i was stuck in the canyon, so i tried to make as much use as i can from the position where i was. The idea fell on my mind to light the sides with the torches and another selfie came out :)

Aerial photography opens up a whole new world of photographic opportunities. One of my new fascinations is the design and textures of frozen bodies of water. The patterns of ice and snow form an intriguing natural art. Again, I’m reminded of the hidden beauty all around us.

This is the classic Lofoten Islands shot but I’m not ashamed of taking it because the sea, sky and mountains are always different throughout each day. This was early evening in late March, there was still plenty of snow around and the evening light was magic. You should visit the Lofotens it’s utterly amazing.

We left at 4am to get this place to ourselves, and it sure was worth it! It’s a 13km hike to reach this spot, but those 13km are the most beautiful kilometers you will ever walk. This is about as dangerous as it looks; it’s 100’s of metres off the ground - It would hurt. This might well be the most beautiful place in the world.

Even though we were surrounded by snow, it felt warm. The sun reflected and bounced off the snow to cover us in warmth. At this elevation in Switzerland, you feel almost in the clouds, it’s surreal. And yet, it’s a simple train ride to the top, no climbing gear needed.

I took a road trip from Idaho to the Grand Tetons and slept in my car to wake up for this beautiful blue hour right before sunrise. I didn’t need to edit any colors really it was just as cool blue as I saw. I was jumping out of my skin experiencing this range for the first time, tired, and hungry and hoping to run into a few Moose.

That day we just got back from a super exhausted hiking and I head into this only Billa supermarket try to grab some food before it closed, while other students just went back directly to the Hotel. But when I got out that’s what I saw. Like, suddenly, I fell nothing but joy and lucky.

5 years ago, my life changed forever. Moved from the sea to the mountains, because I chose to. Ever since then, everyday I look up, I feel more grateful to be closer to the elements. In a place where seasons do change, and you feel that change in your skin. Always with a camera on me.

Taken at Iceland’s second largest glacier Langjökull. I was based at the foot of the mass of ice taking abstract shots of the patterns running through the frozen mass when a group of friendly hikers passed me. I waited in position watched their cautious ascent up the intimidating glacier. When the hikers reached a prime position I took my shot, emphasising the fact that when man and nature co-operate they create a powerful work of art.

This is where I spent my Saturday morning. How about you? Bubblers are the people who go out to this lake to see the methane bubbles that appear under the surface of the ice. I was on the verge of freezing to death and had to retreat into the van but the others managed to catch a glimpse of them. I regret it though- next time I’d lose a toe for the photo. For now, I’m not yet a bubbler!

I’ve had an art block for several weeks, so instead of trying to force something. I got a couple of canvases, some paint, a cup of chai and relaxed while painting this and lots more. I live by the seaside so I immediately started imagining the waves, going back and forth. With foam and depth. Creativity to me, like the ocean it comes like waves.
